ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A call to action from one group working to ensure no one forgets about Johnny Bradley.

Bradley checked himself into Strong Memorial Hospital on May 3, 2005. When he left later that day, it would be the last time anyone ever heard from him.

His father, Ray Bradley, hasn’t given up hope. He says he’s disappointed in Rochester police, saying they’ve been dragging their feet. He says they once waited four hours for officers to arrive when they found what they said was evidence, but police didn’t show up until days later.

“When you show a parent 6 pages in 19 years, what would you say as a father? What would you say as a mother? You’d be frustrated, right? You’d think they didn’t do anything. And especially, when the detective that initially took the case, all you got is a missing persons report from that officer and that’s it. Nothing else from that, since 2005, was done,” Bradley said.

In 2012, Ray ran a group called “Missing the Missing,” which he says helped officers find missing children.

News 8 reached out to the RPD and will update this story with any response.
