ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – The fog is now well burned off here in Rochester, allowing for blue skies and the sun to be visible. Temperatures will fall into the low 50s for overnight lows as skies remain clear.

We stay dry heading into Thursday with temperatures expected to only climb into the mid 60s. Skies will remain mostly clear, allowing for that sunshine to persist throughout the day. Temperatures fall into the upper 40s for overnight lows. Warmer air starts to work its way back in starting on Friday ahead of a large storm system that will develop across the middle part of the country. The clouds will start to increase throughout the day on Friday as temperatures soar into the mid to upper 70s. This will be a nice way to end the workweek, especially with rain knocking on Western New York’s door to start off the weekend.

Rain moves in Saturday morning. The rain is expected to last through the afternoon hours along a slow moving boundary. Temperatures only get up into the mid 60s for highs on Saturday. Rain lingers into Sunday as the boundary stalls, but the lift should be focused a bit further east. That will mean clouds with the chance of an isolated storm or two to finish the weekend. High temperatures rise into the upper 60s, potentially kissing the 70° mark for Sunday.

The beginning of next week looks to start of dry and warm. Temperatures for both Monday and Tuesday are right around the 70° mark. Our next rain chance moves back into the forecast for Wednesday with high temperatures sticking in the low 70s for Wednesday and Thursday.
