ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WROC) — The delivery driver who admitted to killing a Rochester man with his car near Highmark Stadium and leaving the scene was sentenced Thursday.

Khairullah L. Hasein was sentenced to 120 days in jail and five years of probation. He pleaded guilty in February to one count of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death.

According to investigators, Hasein was working as a delivery driver on November 13 when he hit William Young on Southwestern Boulevard, near Stadium Drive. Young, 65, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police found the damaged vehicle involved in the hit-and-run at Hasein’s home in Buffalo. Prosecutors said there was no evidence that drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving played a role in the incident. Investigators determined Young walked out into the road before he was hit.
