ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The House of Guitars (HOG) celebrated its 60th anniversary and National Record Store Day on Saturday.

There was a line out the door full of music aficionados, waiting to find their much sought-after limited records. Some records were limited to only 500 copies worldwide.

Employees told News 8 that they saw more limited records this year than the business had ever seen in previous years on this day.

Aric Schaubroeck who is a manager at HOG said, “People are just excited to get that limited release that is only available today. People like to just come and hang out, watch the bands, and talk about the hobby of collecting records. It’s a fun day for everyone.”

Bands performed live music all day long to entertain those waiting in line and provided a great way to celebrate the special day. All purchases came with a free House of Guitars 60th Anniversary Commemorative Magazine.
