RG&E and NYSEG to offer assistance with customer unpaid bills

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) announced new assistance services to help customers with their unpaid bills.

Both companies are advising customers with financial needs for help to contact their assistance teams for help with unpaid bills to keep their services on. The electric companies said they offer a variety of programs to offer assistance to customers.

RG&E, NYSEG customers to receive one-time bill credits

The Project Share program allows customers who qualify to receive a $200 credit towards their usage and the Energy Assistance Program offers customers who qualify for their program to receive a monthly credit on their bill.

Both companies offer deferred payment agreements and other assistance plans that are available online or by phone.
