    Wind advisory issued for Rochester region. Power outages possible

    The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a wind advisory effective until 2 p.m. Saturday for the Rochester region, including Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties.

    Wind Conditions: West winds are forecasted to range from 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

    Affected Areas: Residents in Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties should prepare for these windy conditions.

    Duration: The advisory is set to go into effect from 11 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday.

    Potential Impact: The strong winds may result in blowing around unsecured objects, downing tree limbs, and causing a few power outages.
