Listing: Look inside Rochester's viral 'Marble Lago' home

A real estate listing for a unique Rochester home, aptly named "Marble House" and "Marble Lago", is going viral.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Rochester's coveted "Pill Hill" neighborhood recently hit the market for $849,000.

Photos of the home have amassed over 300,000 views after being shared by the popular Twitter account, Zillow Gone Wild.

According to the listing, the California-inspired "marble showstopper" boasts over 20 different types of high-end marble, with many imported from Italy and elsewhere in Europe.

Originally built in 1930, the home today offers "Great Gatsby glamour" with a blend of original Art Deco style and modern-day features, the listing states.

Alex Shepherd, the listing agent with Keller Williams Premier Realty, said in an email the sellers, who are fans of the realty television show "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles", wanted to create something different.

"A house needs to tell a story," Shepherd wrote, adding the marble ties into the marble used in the architecture of Mayo Clinic.

The home also features an array of smart technology, such as a fingerprint entry lock system and heated toilet seats that raise and lower at the touch of a button.

Outside, the home sits on a corner lot and features a patio with grill area (marble, of course) and a putting green.

"From entertaining, to relaxing after a long day, or just pure luxury living, living here is so gorgeous, it will make you feel almost surreal," the listing concludes.
