Bettendorf food pantry sustains damages
BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - TV6 received a viewer tip about a tree branch possibly falling and landing on a food pantry in Bettendorf. TV6 arrived on scene around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at AGAPE Center Project Pantry, 1101 Devils Glen Rd., to find the roof of the building covered with a tarp and construction tape blocking off the building. There was no one on scene to talk to, so it is unclear when the incident happened.

2 people arrested in connection to drug induced death investigation, deputies say
MERCER Co., Ill. (KWQC) - Two people were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation involving a drug induced death at the end of 2023. On Dec. 22, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office along with the Mercer County Coroner’s Office were called to investigate a death in rural Sherrard, Ill., according to a media release from the sheriff’s office. The investigation led to the arrests of two people on Tuesday.
