Straphanger slashed on Manhattan subway station — with attacker still at large
A 36-year-old woman was slashed by a blade-wielding madman in a Lower East Side subway station early Sunday morning, the NYPD said. Following a 911 call, officers found the unidentified victim — who was cut at the Delancey Street/Essex Street station — with a laceration on her left leg, a department spokesperson said Sunday. Authorities brought her to Bellevue Hospital, where she is in stable condition.
