INEZ — The Sheldon Clark High School Class of 1976 entered the brand-new high school as freshmen in 1972 and 166 graduated May 28 that bicentennial year. INEZ — The Diamond Dawgs and Legends went head-to-head in the Martin County Coach Pitch tournament. In double elimination, the Legends emerged from the loser’s bracket to defeat the Dawgs Friday 8-7. Casting with Kids spreads joy with annual event
The fifth annual Casting with Kids event, held by the Casting for Kids organization, went into the books on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1, with Friday’s “An Evening to Shine” event allowing children with mobility issues or other disabilities an evening all to themselves to enjoy the Casting for Kids boardwalk at Paintsville Lake State Park. The event featured weigh-ins and gifts for the young anglers, as well as train rides provided by El-Hasa Shriners and food provided by Texas Roadhouse, among many other sponsors that made the event possible.
