$1.2M grant paves way for affordable housing on new Lowcountry transit line
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — The Lowcountry Rapid Transit project is taking its next big step. The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDOG) was awarded a $1.2 million federal grant for the project team to learn more about creating affordable housing along the transit line. The proposed transit system will include 20 stations and cover more than 21 miles of service.
