RICHMOND, Va. -- A passing shower or rumble of thunder is possible overnight. Areas of fog are once again likely to develop. and it remain rather humid, with lows in the low and mid 60s.

Sunday will be another very warm, humid day with afternoon highs in the upper 80s to around 90. We'll have a mix of sun and clouds, with a few scattered showers and thunderstorms popping up during the afternoon. There will be a slightly higher threat for rain at night.

Our highest rain chances region-wide will come on Memorial Day. Highs will again be in the upper 80s to around 90 and it will be quite humid. We are currently under a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe weather, with damaging winds the primary threat. Due to the higher humidity, any shower or storm that develops through Monday will likely produce torrential downpours. Any slow-moving storm could produce localized poor-drainage flooding.

It will turn less humid for the rest of the week. A passing shower is possible to the north on Wednesday, as cooler air filters into the region. Highs Thursday and Friday will be in the 70s, with lows in the 50s. A few of our outlying areas could drop into the upper 40s Friday morning.
