The Asian American Celebration, sponsored by the Asian American Society of Central Virginia, will be returning to the Greater Richmond Convention Center Saturday, May 4, bringing with it a display of Asian culture.

More than 15 Asian communities will be participating in the 26th annual event, showcasing a unique amalgamation of local and foreign cuisine, traditional games, and cultural performances. The celebration also features a focus on martial arts, with dance and music performances from local Asian American communities throughout the day. There also will be a kids’ village with traditional games and hands-on activities.

The Asian American Celebration, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., is a free event, and the public is invited to attend.
