Man dead, woman wounded in double shooting in Sand Hills
A dead man and a wounded woman found in Augusta's Sand Hills neighborhood has spurred a Richmond County Sheriff's Office investigation. Deputies arrived at a house on the 2500 block of Henry Street, between Monte Sano and Fleming avenues, at 9:40 p.m., finding a woman "who had been shot at least once" and a man dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sheriff's Sgt. John Perry.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - UPDATE: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man for shooting fifteen-year-old Jordon Gaynor. The sheriff's office says investigators arrested Derrick Lyons, Jr. on Friday, Jun. 2, and charged him with murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Man Wanted for Aggravated Stalking
Richmond County authorities are looking for a man who is wanted for Aggravated Stalking. The incident was reported April 19 in the 4000 block of Nuite Drive. Investigators are looking for 21-year-old Dwayne Nike Whitlock. He’s black, 5’6″ and weighs 120 pounds. Whitlock is known to frequent the Hephzibah area. One Arrested for Murder of 15-Year-Old at Local Convenience Store
