Reston offering outdoor movie showings

RESTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Fun outdoor activities are a must with warm weather setting in — and the Reston Association (RA) is offering one such activity.

The RA will be showing two outdoor movies for Movie in the Park.

It will show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem on May 18. Doors will open at 7:45 p.m. and the movie will start at 8:30 p.m. Children are encouraged to show off their favorite super hero costumes.

On June 8, couples are invited to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8:45 p.m. Couples can bring their own picnic dinner or opt for a charcuterie board during the movie.

Tickets are required for entry and will cost $6 for RA members or $10 for non-members. Children under 3 years old may attend for free.

Popcorn, candy and snacks are available for purchase at the screenings.

The screenings will take place at the Lake Newport Soccer Field 1.
