Georgia hospital taps CEO
Sandy McKenzie has been named president and CEO of Dalton, Ga.-based Hamilton Medical Center: the flagship hospital of Hamilton Health Care System. Ms. McKenzie has been with the health system for nearly 18 years, according to an April 25 news release shared with Becker's. Most recently, she served as its president of operations, and will continue to have operational oversight of the system's affiliates in her new position.
Man Charged with Filming Women at Calhoun Buc-ee's
CALHOUN — Buc-ee’s staff alerted police that a man was filming the buttocks of women, and at least one young teen, without their consent at the Buc-ee’s off I-75 in Gordon County. "Principal For A Day" Program Encourages Students To Keep Community Clean
Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful and Keep it Clean Dalton have announced the winners of the "Principal for a Day" program, a community initiative that encourages students to pick up litter in their community. The program was started in 2019 by Emery Silvers, an elementary student at the time, who was determined to get people around her to help clean up the community after her teacher showed the class the impacts of litter on animals.
