The application deadline for the Vysehrad superintendent’s position is set for 5 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, May 9). That’s after the school’s current superintendent/principal Robin Trojcak tendered her letter of resignation with the school early last month, stating that she had accepted a position with the Region 3 Service Center in Victoria.

Chris Soza retiring after lengthy career in Coastal Bend
BEEVILLE, Texas — A longtime South Texas stalwart is calling it a career as Beeville ISD announced Thursday morning that Chris Soza is retiring. Soza has been coaching for 39 years, the last 28 spent as a head coach. He went 200-125 over that span including stops in Mathis, Beeville (twice), Alice and Medina Valley. He reached the milestone and final victory in a bi-district upset of the Calallen Wildcats this past season.
Lady Pirates fall in area round
