MoDOT work to take place on U.S. Route 65 through July
Night time travelers of Highway 65 south of Hollister are urged to take extra precautions from now through the month of July, as MoDOT works to make road improvements. The improvements will take place to the highway beginning south of Industrial Park Drive, down to south of Buffalo Ridge Boulevard. The work will take place from 7 p.m. through 6 a.m. now until Friday, July 28. Contractor crews will be adding a high-friction pavement treatment at various locations to help improve traction at curves.
Forsyth moves towards ADA compliance
The City of Forsyth will move forward to ensure all city facilities and parks are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. During a public meeting on Monday, June 5, city officials discussed the results of a voluntary ADA compliance audit. Forsyth Mayor Missi Hesketh, Alderman Dustin Krob, Alderman Shawn Mathenia and Alderman Scott Novak heard from residents regarding areas of concern.

JATC welcomes new board and members
A few weeks ago, members of the Junior Auxiliary of Taney County gathered at the Pour House in Hollister to prepare for the 2024-25 year with a new board and members and recognized individual accomplishments. The board members serve a one-year term once they are selected.
Free concert and politcal rally hosted in Lampe
Stone County residents and campaign supporters rallied support and cut a rug in Lampe Saturday evening. The campaign to re-elect Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader held a free concert event for the public on June 8 at the Black Oak Amphitheatre.
