Centennial boys' track and field ready for more
CHAMPAIGN — Bringing a state trophy back to Champaign wasn’t entirely unexpected last May when the Centennial boys’ track and field team arrived in Charleston. The Chargers did tie for fifth at the 2022 IHSA Class 3A state meet. Did have an outstanding sprinter in Daniel Lacy who could wow the crowd at O’Brien Stadium and did have a virtually unheard of sophomore Voldy Makabu who had vast potential.

SEMO Softball beats Eastern Illinois to win OVC Tournament
PEORIA, Ill. (KFVS) - The SEMO Softball team defeated top-seeded Eastern Illinois 4-2 Saturday in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship in Peoria, Illinois. With the victory, the Redhawks get an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Tournament Division I selection show is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday.

Softball Game Preview: Taylorville Plays at Home
Taylorville is 1-9 against Charleston since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday.
