The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors recently recognized dozens of county employees for exceptional public service.

County leaders spotlighted 45 employees on May 7, during the county’s annual celebration of Public Service Recognition Week at the Fox Event Center in Redlands.

This year marked the 35th year that the county has celebrated its top employees during Public Service Recognition Week, which is observed nationally during the first week of May.

Employees were selected by their peers for the Award for Excellence based on their exemplary service to the county and its citizens, county leaders said.

“Each of you has consistently exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,” Board of Supervisors Chairman Dawn Rowe said. “Your unwavering commitment to our county’s mission has been the driving force behind our success, and it is only fitting that we take a moment to recognize and honor your remarkable achievements.”

Chief Executive Officer Luther Snoke also praised the employees’ service.

“I am filled with a deep sense of pride and gratitude for the opportunity to honor some truly exceptional individuals within our organization,” Snoke said. “Your dedication, passion, and commitment to service inspire us all, and we are incredibly proud to have you as part of our team.”

The work performed by over 23,000 of the county’s dedicated staff has made San Bernardino County the nation’s leading recipient of National Association of Counties Achievement Awards for two consecutive years, winning 160 last year, county officials stated.
