Multiple people shot, including a six-month-old, in Robeson County

Multiple people, including a six-month-old, were shot in Red Springs Friday afternoon.

At about 3 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Pearsall Road and Children's Road about two individuals were shot.

Police said upon arrival, they found a man and a woman injured from being shot.

The two victims were identified as Kyle Jones, 27, of Shannon, and Dakota Lambert, 26, of Red Springs.

Jones died from his injuries.

Lambert was taken to an undisclosed medical center. According to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, she is "listed as critical but stable."

Deputies were also called to the Red Springs Police Department.

Upon arrival, they found a six-month-old baby with an injury from being shot.

The infant was taken to an undisclosed medical center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

This is an ongoing investigation.
