Dense fog advisory affecting North Alabama until Sunday morning
A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 2:49 a.m. in effect until 9 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties. The weather service describes, "Visibility less than one quarter of a mile in dense fog."

Mooreville High School Class of 2024 graduates, honors sick classmate
TUPELO — Mooreville High School’s Class of 2024 crossed the stage to graduate in a ceremony at Cadence Bank Arena on Saturday afternoon. The 113 graduating seniors walked into the auditorium with lavender-blue ribbons pinned to their stoles to honor one of their classmates, Sadie Downs, who has gastric cancer, Mooreville English teacher Susan Martin said.
Man arrested on drug charges in Leighton
Authorities arrested a man in Colbert County after searching a residence on the 1200 block of Jarmon Lane in Leighton. It happened around 9 a.m. on May 16. According to the Colbert County Sheriff's Office, agents found 72 grams of methamphetamines, four firearms, and $343 in U.S. currency. Authorities say a stolen 2003 Honda motorcycle was also recovered from the property.
