Would you consider your city to be a particularly miserable place to live?

"Misery" is a matter of opinion but factors such as "crime rate, median income, and commute time" all play into a miserable reputation. While you might not be miserable in your city, the aforementioned factors could cause someone to dream of living in a place where crime is less common, homes are more affordable, and commute time is non existent.

While no city is perfect, some are simply not an ideal place to live based on U.S Census Data.

According to a list complied by Herald Weekly , the most miserable city in Pennsylvania is Reading.

Here's what Herald Weekly had to say about the most miserable city in Pennsylvania:

"Reading in Pennsylvania was once known as the "Pretzel City," and even to this very day, the city has numerous pretzel bakeries scattered all over the city. It was massively impacted by the closure of numerous factories around the city. When these factories shut their doors, many of the residents of Reading lost their jobs. In 2011, Reading was declared the most miserable city in the country by The New York Times."
