LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) - City workers in Lee’s Summit may get two additional days off beginning this year. Members of the Lee’s Summit City Council plan to consider recognizing Juneteenth and Veterans Day as official city holidays. The idea will be discussed during the council meeting Tuesday evening.

The body of a man who disappeared while kayaking on a lake in south central Minnesota has been recovered. 39-year-old Shane White of Overland Park, Kansas was reported missing after he failed to return Saturday on Nest Lake near Spicer, Minnesota.
