Overland Park man facing multiple drug charges following near-month long Emporia Police Department investigation
An Overland Park man was arrested as part of an Emporia Police Department drug bust Tuesday. According to Emporia Police Captain Ray Mattas, the investigation began on November 4 and concluded Tuesday with the arrest of 20-year-old Caden Hunt. As part of the investigation officers managed to purchase illegal narcotics including cocaine, marijuana and LSD from Hunt and later served a search warrant at the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity house at 1309 Sylvan Street.

Six close contacts of an Olathe Northwest student have tested positive for tuberculosis so far, according to the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment. The department, alongside the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, began testing after a student tested positive for the infection last month. The student may have been contagious as early as last spring, leading to about 450 close contacts in need of a test.
