Country artist to close out Valdosta Music Series
VALDOSTA – The Turner Center will host country musician Mark Taylor to close out the Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series. Valdosta Police: South Carolina man charged after aiming a gun at an officer
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - A South Carolina man is facing charges after pointing a gun at an officer at a Valdosta hotel. On Saturday, May 11, the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) was called to the Wingate Hotel after reports of a dispute. When officers got to the scene, they say they saw a man, later identified as William Stanfield, 61, who was “intoxicated and belligerent.”

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College reports an increase of 11.7 percent in enrollment for the Spring 2024 Semester compared to a year ago. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College President DeAnnia Clements is excited to share that the college’s enrollment has increased by 11.7% this Spring 2024 Semester compared to the Spring 2023 Semester.
