RSF Senior Center hosts successful 9th annual Healthy Aging Conference

The Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center recently announced the successful conclusion of the 9th annual Healthy Aging Conference which took place Friday, April 26 at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. The event brought together three expert speakers, senior resource providers, and individuals passionate about healthy aging, according to a news release.

Attendees heard Dr. Ian Neel discuss the benefits of formulating a brain health plan which includes interventions that may have strong benefits for the prevention of dementia as well as slowing the progression of cognitive decline. Jonathan Schwartz inspired attendees to age with purpose and to share their hopes, dreams, and aspirations with as many people as possible. Dr. Alison Moore gave her geriatrician view on healthy longevity and the wide variety of factors that influence healthy longevity including habits, physical activity, and genetics to name a few.

Throughout the day there was opportunity to network with fellow attendees and to collect valuable information from the 17 senior service providers, including La Costa Glen Retirement Community, Amada Senior Care, and Sage Health System whose support made this unique educational event possible.
