A La Mesa man who chased after another vehicle on state Route 94 and fatally shot its driver pleaded guilty this week to first- degree murder. Thomas Evans III, 49, is expected to be sentenced next month to 50 years to life in state prison for shooting 27-year-old National City resident Saundralina Williams on March 5, 2022.
