RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Jesse Booker, the CEO of Rapcine joined us virtually to discuss Racine’s Fastest Athlete!. This event is titled Racine’s Fastest Athlete because they are welcoming anyone in our community, over the age of 16 to compete. Male or Female. All proceeds from this event will help sponsor City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Departments Youth Summer Activities.
rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week: Julia Kellner, Racine Lutheran
Racine Lutheran junior Julia Kellner has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of September 11-17 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. There were 4,268 total votes this week. Kellner topped all vote getters with 1,535 votes. Johnson Creek's Dylan Bredlow came in very close in second with 1,422 votes.
WSOC vs Carthage
After starting the season 0-3-1 UW-Whitewater has now won three games in a row including their recent 2-1 match against Carthage College Sept. 20. The game started out slow on offense for the Warhawks as Carthage was consistently pressuring the Warhawks defense. The pressure was no match for Whitewater sophomore goalie Jude Dobrinska who had five saves in the first half.

Local Soccer Triumph: St. Francis Men's Team Continues Winning Streak, Matches Last Year's Total Wins
The University of St. Francis men's soccer team won their sixth consecutive game, beating Judson University 2-1. The game was at Joliet Memorial Stadium as part of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Pablo Rubio Guerra, who scored both goals, has now scored in five straight games. DGN boys’, girls’ cross country teams #1 in the state
For years, the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams have been the most successful teams at DGN, from the boys team going to compete at NXN in 2016, 2017, and 2022, to the girls team placing fifth in state just last year. Jordan, Frederickson, O'Gara lead Eagles at Midwest Region Classic
KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's golf team competed at the Midwest Region Classic Friday and Saturday at Brighton Dale Links. The Eagles took advantage of a strong score of 307 on day one and finished middle of the pack with a two-round score of 621. The Eagles placed in a tie for 21st place of 40 teams, led by the trio of Raymond Jordan, Jacob Frederickson, and Aidan O'Gara.
