A new sports team is set to call Quincy home.

Entering its inaugural season, the Boston Brigade, a professional flag football team in the AFFL (American Flag Football League), will play its home games at Veteran's Memorial Stadium this spring.

The Brigade is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever, the team said in a press release, and it will play its first home double-header on May 11 against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available on the team's website.

The Brigade opens the eight-game season on April 27 in Las Vegas and concludes it on June 15 in Nashville before the championship game held on June 22 in Dallas.

The second of two home double-headers at Veteran's Memorial Stadium will take place vs. the Dallas Ocelots and Las Vegas on June 1 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

"With the announcement last fall of flag football being added to the 2028 Olympics, we believe the timing is perfect to be adding this team to Boston's deep roots and rich sports history," the team wrote in an email to The Patriot Ledger.
