I always thought people lived longer in the country. Honestly, I think I may have thought that as a younger adult. After years of city living, I assumed people out in the woods would just have better quality of life. But when you get a bit older (ugh) you start to think about things like the distance to the hospital, and what roads are like in winter.

Why are Dead Seagulls Being Nailed to Stakes on Some Maine Islands?
I've always been a huge Alfred Hitchcock fan, since I was a kid. I remember seeing Psycho on some afternoon movie thing on TV, and I was fascinated. Maybe even a bit terrified, you know... being a kid and all. But to this day, one of the ones that still creeps me right the !@%$ out, is The Birds.

I am a firm believer that if launching the celebrations for the holidays a little earlier makes you happy, then go for it. Who is anyone to deny you of harmless, innocent joy? However, when I read about the Reese's Pumpkins being released in July, I had to investigate and confirm that I wasn't being tricked over this favorite Halloween treat.
