Jabbawaukee highlights one of their best performances of 2023 with ‘Live Worms’
The year 2023 was a busy one for the Providence psychedelic funk-jam band Jabbawaukee. The quartet of keyboardist and co-vocalist Jack Skiffington, guitarist and co-vocalist David Hobson, bassist and co-vocalist Brendon Bjorness-Murano and drummer Stu Taylor played a ton of shows all over New England and beyond while releasing a new single with “New Speedway Boogie” in July of that year. The following September, they were part of the heralded Wormtown Music Festival that annually takes place at Camp Kee-Wanee in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Along with their performance, this particular edition of the festival was headlined by Chicago psychedelic soul artist Neal Francis, Denver funk purveyors The Motet and Hartford jam band legends Max Creek. To document this special occasion, Jabbawaukee decided to record their performance and release it as an album titled “Live Worms” earlier this spring.
