Investigation underway after human remains found in Prosser field

PROSSER, Wash. -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office said bones were found by a farmer in a Prosser field.

The farmer reported the findings just before 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. BCSO said the field was near Coyote or Badger Den in the 173,000 Block of W. McCreadie Road in Prosser.

BCSO said deputies arrived to the scene and confirmed the bones to be human remains.

The bones are now at the Benton County Coroner's Office for further investigation and an autopsy to identify the person and cause of death.
