“As close to heaven as I’ll probably get”: Local seniors live their dreams in hot air balloon

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – About a dozen local senior citizens got the chance to ride a hot air balloon on Wednesday morning.

Trilogy Health Services offered the opportunity to 14 residents as part of their “Live A Dream” program. The program helps seniors cross items off their bucket list.

Eyewitness News Chief Photographer John Simpson was in Princeton as Trilogy Health Services residents were able to live their dream and fly high in the hot air balloon.

“I ain’t no scaredy-cat, just because my hair is white it don’t mean I can’t get on there,” said Francis Althoff. “That’s about as close to heaven as I’ll probably get.”
