Leake Academy Defeats Riverfield Raiders 40-24
The Leake Academy Rebels were back home in Madden hosting the Raiders of Riverfield Academy from Rayville Louisiana. The Raiders put the first points on the scoreboard very early in the first quarter but by the end of the opening quarter the Rebels were leading 13-8 and had a 27-16 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Rebels added one touchdown in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters while holding the Raiders to one touchdown in the 4th quarter winning tonight’s game 40-24. Garrett Adcock was named tonight’s In Sports player of the game. The Rebels will host Winston Academy next Friday night with kickoff set for 7:00pm. Boswell Media Sports will be on the air at 6:15pm on Cruisin 98 with video streaming on the Boswell Media Sports YouTube channel.

L A Rebels Battle J A Raiders in Season Opener
The 3A District 2 Leake Academy Rebels opened the 2026 football season tonight in Madden playing a non district game hosting the 4A District 1 Jackson Academy Raiders. In the hour + opening quarter the Raiders scored 5 touchdowns while the Rebels scored 3 touchdowns. By halftime, the Raiders were leading the game 49-32. In the second half, only 7 points were scored in a fast moving 3rd quarter by the Raiders giving them a 56-32 lead going into the final quarter. Both teams scored an additional touchdown in the 4th quarter giving the Jackson Raiders a 63-40 win over the Leake Academy Rebels. Next week the Rebels will travel to Mendenhall to play Simpson Academy.
