Man pronounced dead following car crash in Lincoln County
Tragedy strikes in Lincoln County as a 37-year-old loses life in a car crash. The vehicle veered off the road, crashed into a tree, and rolled over. Despite rescue efforts by Chandler Fire and EMS, the driver, identified as Derik Melson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three Marines who died in North Carolina of carbon monoxide poisoning were in a car that was lowered with unconnected exhaust pipes, according to an autopsy report. Merax Dockery, a Seminole resident, was among the three who died this summer. The deaths were ruled an accident, and the report showed there were no obvious signs of foul play, suicide or drugs.
