The odds were stacked against the Hiawatha Lady Red Hawks coming into Tuesday’s Regional opener against Sabetha, as the 8th-seeded Hawks, with just one win on the season, took on the top-seeded Bluejays and their 18 wins. (KMAland) -- Two more KMAland Nebraska athletes won state championships on the final day of the Nebraska State Track & Field Championships. Syracuse’s Ashlynn Vestal ran to a win in the 300 meter hurdles in Class C while Joe Simon of Falls City Sacred Heart won the Class D 110 meter hurdles. There were 21 other medalists from KMAland between the Class C and D meets.
