Feeding America distribution slated for Menominee County Thursday morning
MENOMINEE, Mich. (WLUC) - Feeding America West Michigan has a food distribution event scheduled for Thursday morning in Menominee. The pantry is located at the Marinette/Menominee YMCA at 1600 West Drive with distribution scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Central time. Those who are unable to physically attend can have a proxy or stand in pick up food for them. Peshtigo students design and print out houses in seventh grade math
PESHTIGO —In their seventh grade math classes at Peshtigo Middle/High School, students have been working on volume and surface area of multiple shapes. Teacher Trevor Bloch extended his traditional math lessons to have students design their ideal homes, then make models of them with 3D printers. “During class students brought up the evolving three dimensional printer applications. The USDA Forest Service officials recently announced the termination of a closure due to a large windstorm in July 2019. All recreation areas, trails, and roads that were closed due to the storm are now open. Woman charged in Marinette car-pedestrian crash pleads guilty
MARINETTE, WI— The driver in a Marinette accident that injured a young pedestrian has pleaded guilty in the case. Amber Renner, 36, was westbound on Carney Avenue last December when she heard something in the back seat, where her child was. She said she turned to look behind her, and when she turned back around, 17-year-old Bryce Steinfath was in the crosswalk. He was struck and suffered significant injuries.
