POST FALLS, ID — A man suspected of burglary was arrested Tuesday morning.

Lance Virgil, 49, was apprehended by the Post Falls Police Department (PFPD) on April 30 for allegedly breaking into a business and a vehicle.

Around 5:40 a.m., police responded to a burglary of a business near Poleline Avenue and Pleasant View Road west of the city.

According to police, the suspect had broken a window and stole some items prior to the business opening.

At approximately 9 a.m. police responded to a report of a male breaking into a vehicle near Painters Loop and Cecil Road. They say the man ran prior to officers arriving in the area.

According to police, they were able to review photos of the male suspect and identified him as the same suspect from the burglary earlier in the morning.

Police launched a drone, and they were able to locate him hiding.

According to police, Virgil refused commands to surrender and was ultimately apprehended with assistance from a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office K9.

Virgil was transported to Kootenai Health for treatment of his injuries, and later booked at the Kootenai County Public Safety Building for burglary and resisting arrest.
