Missing Portland woman last seen in Lake County

A missing Portland woman was last seen in Lake County where her abandoned vehicle was found over the weekend, investigators announced Monday.

Ruth Jessica Dumitru, 29, was last seen Wednesday in the area of Rodman Slough near North Lakeport, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

She has a history of mental illness and may be confused or disoriented, officials said.

Investigators found Dumitru’s vehicle in the area of Rodman Slough on Friday and her cell phone was inside.

A search took place but Dumitru was not found.

Investigators concluded she left Portland on May 5 and her fiance later reported her missing.

Loved ones were able to contact her on May 9 and last heard from her on Wednesday. During that conversation, Dumitru told her family she was heading to San Francisco, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Dumitru has brown hair and brown eyes. She’s 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 130 pounds.
