UPDATE: Gas line repaired along Dakota Road
UPDATE: The gas leak has been repaired as of 12:35 p.m. and the area has been reopened to regular traffic and deemed safe, officials report. A gas line has reportedly been struck in Bellefontaine and Dakota Road is currently closed from Allison Road to the end of Dakota, according to an alert sent out shortly before 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12.
Hartzell Propeller launches Core Purchase Program
The Hartzell Service Center in Piqua, Ohio, has introduced a new program for purchasing used serviceable propeller cores and parts directly from aircraft owners, fleets, and MROs. The new program aims to help reduce overhaul lead times, while giving customers more buying options when acquiring parts, according to company officials.
Local brewery to have peach-themed specials this summer
The Peach Truck is making a stop at Crooked Handle Brewing Co. in Piqua tomorrow, June 12, and the brewery is celebrating with peach-themed specials. “We were extremely excited when The Peach Truck approached Crooked Handle to host them for the summer of 2024,” said co-owner Kristy Moore. “This is the first time their delicious peaches have made it to Piqua. We at Crooked Handle are always looking for new events, partnerships and experiences to offer to our guests and The Peach Truck seems like a great reoccurring summer event.”

Teen transported from C.R. 10 crash
Landon J. Rocker, 19, of Hilliard, was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Sunday, June 9. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a westbound 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on County Road 10 about 9:50 a.m.
Blood drive planned in Fort Loramie
FORT LORAMIE — A blood drive in honor of Irene Boerger will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 18 at St. Michael’s Hall in Fort Loramie. Everyone who registers to donate blood will be entered in a grand prize drawing to win a pair of three-day passes to Country Concert. All registered donors receive the “From One to Many” T-shirt and are automatically entered in a drawing to win a pair of tickets to the Bengals vs. Browns game at Paycor Stadium.
