Latino organization hosts 75th convention in Oxnard
Members of the California League of United Latin American Citizens will descend on Oxnard this weekend for their 75th annual convention. The three-day event at the Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach Hotel will feature a host of dignitaries from state Treasurer Fiona Ma and state Attorney General Bonta to Ventura County Supervisor Vianey Lopez. Fresh off setting two national records, Ventura High junior Sadie Engelhardt started her high school postseason by winning the girls 1,600-meter title at the Channel League Track and Field Finals on Thursday at Rio Mesa High.
