CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Assistant City Manager Steve Viera was in charge of a number of departments including the Health District. The City’s Chief Financial Officer Constance Sanchez has worked for the city for over 30 years and oversaw departments such as Animal Care Services and Municipal Court. Sanchez and Viera are no longer with the City of Corpus Christi after both retired on Thursday.
Port of Corpus Christi receives international award
The Port of Corpus Christi's efforts to improve its efficiency and its contribution to the hydrogen industry were recently rewarded with a worldwide award. On May 12, the Port of Corpus Christi won the World Hydrogen 2024 award for Port of the Future during a ceremony held in the Rotterdam Ahoy during the World Hydrogen 2024 Summit & Exhibition. They were one of six industry giants to take home an award.
