ALBANY, NY — Karly J. Welty of Portville was among the 228 new state troopers who graduated from the 214th Session of the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy Wednesday. The ceremony was held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany. NY Awards Police Grants to Allegany, Cuba and Portville
Three police departments in the Greater Olean area will receive state grants for new technology and equipment to prevent and solve crimes and improve public safety.
