Aurora High School Honors Convocation
Aurora High School’s Class of 2024 celebrated in full May 8th for the district’s annual honors convocation. Seniors here posed displaying t-shirts indicative of their post-grad plans. Colleges and post-high school careers selected by the Huskies include Bryan College of Health Sciences, Capital Beauty School, Central Community College, Chadron State College, Concordia University, Creighton University, Doane University, Fort Hays State University, the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Northeast Community College, Peru State College, South Dakota State University, Southeast Community College, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Wayne State College. The Huskies also have two students enlisting in the United States Army, one student enlisting in the United States Air Force, and one student attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The district’s four foreign exchange students were also recognized as well as four students who will be going directly to work upon graduation. No. 4 Central City/Centura took on top-seed Malcolm, in a rematch of what was a 10-5 Kernels’ victory earlier in the year.
