US 59 in counties of Polk, San Jacinto reopens after flooding closures
POLK COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Transportation officials have closed all lanes on US 59 due to severe flooding caused by overnight rainfall. An additional closure was announced by TxDOT Lufkin around 11 a.m. US 59 just north of SL 424 in Shepherd is closed due to flooding, they said. They urged drivers to find alternate routes and obey traffic control.
