Middletown to hold hearing on proposed annexation
Middletown will hold a hearing Thursday night to consider the annexation of nearly 95 acres on the town's southern edge, including the town's Remsberg Park. The hearing on whether to adopt a resolution on the annexation of the 88-acre park, an adjacent solar array, and the town's east wastewater treatment plant will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the town's offices at 31 W. City composting program nears 575,000 pounds collected
Two years after it was created, Frederick’s residential composting program has kept nearly 575,000 pounds of waste out of landfills. After expanding citywide in August, the program has reached more than 1,100 participants and diverted 574,670 pounds of organic materials from landfills, the city said Tuesday.
