Repairs near Dunbar Lake Dam to reduce Canyon Lake Dr. to one lane this week
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Drivers are asked to avoid Canyon Lake Drive near the Dunbar Lake Dam starting Thursday for road repairs. Crews will work to restore areas that have been eroded and install infrastructure to reduce future maintenance. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the project.

Drivers along Woodrow Road welcome speed limit reduction after long-standing safety concerns
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - For people who travel Woodrow Road regularly, the county’s decision to lower the speed limit wasn’t surprising, it was overdue. Lubbock County commissioners voted unanimously earlier this week to drop the limit from 65 mph to 45 mph between FM 179 south of Wolfforth and Lubbock-Cooper Liberty, citing growth, construction and increased traffic in the area.
