Coventry Town Council moves to potentially seize Johnson's Pond
COVENTRY, R.I. (WJAR) — Coventry Town Council voted to pass a resolution Thursday that states the town could take the pond for public use. "We are currently negotiating with the owner and hopefully can come to a price that everyone can live with," said Town Solicitor, Stephen Angell. "If not, this moves the issue ahead and puts it in councils hands to condemn the dam," he explained.

Society leaders credit part-time Executive Director Regan Miner for the group’s success. Miner, a 2010 Norwich Free Academy graduate, earned an undergraduate degree in history at the University of Connecticut and master’s degree in public history at Central Connecticut State University.
