    First Pittsburgh-area Shake Shack sets opening date

    The first Shake Shack in the Pittsburgh area is set to open later this month.

    The New York City-based restaurant chain is coming to The Terminal in The Strip District and will open on May 20 at 10:30 a.m.

    The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. through 11 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 10 a.m. through midnight Friday and Saturday.

    You’ll be able to order inside the store (in-Shack) or through the digitally online on the app or website.

    The Terminal location will also offer a walk-up window for those looking to pick up food quickly.

    In addition to their various shakes, Shake Shack is also known for its hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken and more.

    The Terminal location will also offer beer and wine. including Yuengling and Shake Shack's "Shackmeister Ale".

    If you’re planning on visiting opening day, the first guests will get custom stickers, totes and more through a collaboration with Love, Pittsburgh .

    A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on May 20 at 10 a.m. and will feature the Pittsburgh Steeline .

    And $1 dollar from each sandwich sold on May 20 will be donated to 412 Food Rescue.

    Another Shake Shack is scheduled to open in the East End. No definitive date has been announced yet.
